Terms & Conditions:

​

(1) General cleaning is included in the hiring fee of the item, please do not attempt to clean the item yourself. 

​

(2) We expect customers to take reasonable care of the hired item. 
(a) Please do not cut off tags or hanger loops, use pins or alter the garment in any way. 
(b) If there are any stains/damage to the hired item, then you will be liable to pay the cost of repair and/or dry cleaning. 
(c) The degree of damage and associated cost will be determined by HT.

(3) If the item gets lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair, whether or not such loss, theft, or damage is attributable to or contributed by any negligence, failure, or omission on your part, then you will be liable to pay the full cost of replacement of the item. 
(a) Replacement costs are 100% of the recommended retail value (RRP) of the item, as advertised on the hire listing, plus shipping fees where applicable. 
(b) The obligation to pay replacement cost is in addition to the original hire fee AND any dry cleaning costs incurred.
(c) HT may determine in its absolute discretion when a garment is 'damaged beyond repair';  including instances where HT deems the garment no longer fit for hire.

(4) The item must be returned on the agreed date of return, which is typically within 3 days of pickup of the item.

(a) All weekend hires are due back by 10am Monday at the latest unless arranged otherwise.

(b) Late returns will incur an additional fee of $10 per day. If HT has to forfeit another hire due to a late return, the customer will be required to compensate HT for the full amount of this loss.

(5) Only you may wear the hired item, and you must not allow your friends, family or any other person to wear the item.

​

(6) For security reasons, your phone number and address must be supplied on this form prior to pickup.

 

(7) This is a contract for hire only. At no time does ownership of the item pass to you or any other person.

 

(8) You acknowledge and agree that the item is in excellent condition. We check over our items meticulously before and after hires, and hold ourselves and our garments to a high rental standard. However:
(a) If you identify any flaws/stains/damage to the hire item you must bring it to HT's immediate attention, ideally within an hour of pick up. 
(b) Failure to do so before you have worn the item will cause you to assume responsibility for any damages should a dispute ensue, as per clauses (2) & (3). 
(c) No refunds will be provided for garments that are in a standard rental condition. Clients acknowledge that they are wearing second-hand garments, therefore some general wear and tear is to be expected.

(9) Full payment for the hire must be received before the item may be picked up: through either cash or bank transfer. 
(a) All payments are final and no refunds will be given in the case of cancelled events, nor any other circumstance in which you are unable to wear the item as intended. 
(b) In order to secure your booking for a future date a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total hire fee is required; the other 50% is to be paid on/before pickup.
(c) A booking will only be eligible for a credit note for the same outfit for a future date, subject to availability, if an event has been cancelled due to a COVID-19 lockdown; and you have notified HT of your cancellation prior to pickup.

(10) If you are a minor, defined as under the age of 18, then a parent/guardian must agree to enter into the hire contract.
